While attending the Jameson School of Theology in 1986, the Lord impressed upon Van and Phyliss Moore after many years of prayer to begin a Street Evangelistic Ministry and to call it Vision of Missions Ministry for the intention of winning lost souls to Christ. After two years of successful ministry with many souls responding, God impressed upon Van & Phyliss Moore to change the Ministry to begin a church so people coming in could be discipled. In November of 1987 Vision of Missions Tabernacle Church, Inc. was established as a church. As the church began to grow in discipleship, members expressed a desire to further the Christian Education. In 1987 the Vision of Missions Bible Institute was founded and established by Phyliss Moore to service all christians who have a genuine born again experience and basic foundation in christian education.
